Right now waiting at Pudong airport in Shanghai on my waybback to Oslo. It has been a few busy days in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is a “small” Chinese city with around 5-6 million people living. The city is very modern and very nice. The beautiful West Lake is one of the main sights in Hangzhou. I have had the oportunity to walk around the lake for a few hours This spot is very beautiful and green. Right now the peach trees are blooming making the suroundings very colorful.
It is the high peak tourist season now but still it not feeling to crowdy. Springtime is obvious the wedding season. So this time of the year is also good time for wedding photographers. The beautiful backdrops of the mountain and lakes makes this a very popular spot for wedding photography. This image is taken in the Wet land park in Hangzhou in the middle of the tea fields.
Last Saturday the sky was clear so I decided to do some star trail photography. The picture is taken near Tyrifjorden close to the city of Hønefoss in Norway. Both Venus and Jupiter can be seen on the image as clear white lines. The moon was on it way below the horizon and can be seen in the lower right corner as a thicker yellow line. The image consist of 52 exposures each of 30 seconds. The images are stacked together using the cool little software startrails.exe
A fun time laps to watch. It is like an animation of the air traffic throughout the world in 24 hours. As the night becomes day in Europe the traffic increases and clutters the map of Europe while the US traffic decreases.
This morning we woke up to snowy day. During the night it has snowed 10-15 cm and more is expected. As always when it snows the traffic is chaotic. I went out in the snow photographing the Oslo trams using long shutter speeds.
Watch this amazing time laps video filmed from space. The images are taken by the crew onboard the International Space Station from August to October 2011. The video contains some fantastic images of the Aurora Borealis.
After a 15 days trip in Chile and Antarctica loads of images needs to be sorted. It is quite a big job selecting which of the more than 5000 images to scrap and which ones to keep. With the help of Adobe Lightroom this work even time consuming is great fun to do.
Below you can see some of the images I have added to my site at www.photo.krormark.com.
